Sloan Appraisal Services started out as Golden City Appraisals in Northern California in 1999. Nita grew the company to 8 employees before the company was absorbed into a real estate conglomerate. While there, Nita was the Chief Operating Officer, heading up several offices throughout California and Louisiana.
Soon after that, hurricane Katrina devastated the low land and Nita was called to serve the victims of the hurricane, appraising slabs and bare land that was once home to the residents.
After that assignment, Golden City Appraisals was back and it was business as usual, with Nita covering Southern California's Inland Empire until the end of 2012.

In 2013, Nita relocated to Phoenix where Nita worked as a staff appraiser for 4 years, gaining knowledge about the area as well as various additional property types. While there, Nita was named as a preferred appraiser on a local high rise project, acquired her Trainer's Certification and to this day, has mentored several Trainee Appraisers who are now Certified Appraisers and currently has 2 Trainees about to obtain their certifications.
Now, as Sloan Appraisal Services, Nita and her company have recently been recognized as Extraordinary Appraisers, and are guest speakers at the 2022 Valuation Expo in Las Vegas.
